sweet honey white sangria

ingredients

  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 1-inch piece fresh ginger, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 2 small oranges, lemons and/or limes, thinly sliced and seeded
  • 2 nectarines, thinly sliced
  • 2 750 milliliter bottles Spanish Cava sparkling wine, chilled
  • 1 1 liter bottle carbonated water, chilled
  • Ice (optional)
directions
1. In a very large pitcher combine brandy, orange liqueur, and honey; stir with a long handled spoon until honey is dissolved. Add ginger and fruit. Cover and chill 2 hours.
2. Just before serving, stir in wine and carbonated water. Serve over ice, if desired. Makes 10 servings. Enjoy it!

ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons finely shredded lime peel
  • 1 cup lime juice
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • Ice
  • 1 750 milliliter bottle Pinot Noir or Syrah, chilled
  • 1 nectarine, pitted and sliced


directions
1.In a 1-quart glass measuring cup combine lime peel, lime juice, and sugar; add water to equal 4 cups. Stir to dissolve sugar. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
2. To serve, place ice in six 16-ounce glasses. Add 2/3 cup of the lime juice mixture to each glass. Pouring along side of glass, slowly add 1/2 cup wine. Thread nectarine slices on skewers and add to glasses. Serves 6.Enjoy!
